Description

Potential loss of instrument communications could be experienced in cases where a 375F Field Communicator (with System Software Version 1.6) is connected to a FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus segment with a DeltaV Series 1 H1 Card. This situation appears to be somewhat random and only pertains to the Series 1 H1 cards (KJ3004X1-BA1 pn 12P1064). This issue has not been known to exist with Series 2 H1 cards (KJ3242X1-BA1 pn 12P2471). Work-around: Upgrade the 375 to System Software ver. 1.8 or higher The 375 System Software should be updated immediately on all 375 Field Communicators that could or will potentially be connected to a DeltaV Series 1 H1 Fieldbus segment. Details: The System Software ver 1.8 can be obtained in the following 2 ways: 1) install the update available on Rev D of the 375 Resource CD 2) download from the internet using the "Check for Updates" feature of the 375 Easy Upgrade Programming Utility After completing either of the above steps, the PC Database for the Programming Utility will be up to date. Work-around:
